A family that loves the water
We spend our summers on Lake Huron, where we swim, kayak, paddle board, wing foil and, since the day we first tried it, eFoil.
We became a Lift affiliate to share that with other people who like being on the water. We chose Lift after an extensive review of every eFoil manufacturer, because they are the world leaders in this young sport and it showed in everything we looked at.
This is a small operation, run by us, and we teach when the lake is calm rather than to a timetable. That is deliberate: it keeps the lessons unhurried, and it means the person teaching you is the person who answers your email.
Why we teach it
An eFoil is silent and leaves no wake, so you can ride at dawn without waking a single cottage on the shore. It is zero-emission, which matters on a lake we care about. And it is genuinely easy. The reason we say two hours is that two hours is honestly all it takes.
Mostly, though, we do it because of who turns up. We have met some of our favourite people on this beach because they emailed a stranger about a flying surfboard.
